Letter 94: What's in store for this newsletter in 2026
Some changes coming to form and frequency
Happy New Year everyone! I wanted to take a bit of a breather this week to talk about this newsletter from a bit of a meta/macro perspective.
Since the pivot to offering a paid subscription tier last year, I have put out a premium issue every Monday (or Tuesday depending on where you live) and a free Weekly Nugget of Wisdom almost every Thursday.
The Thursday issue has more or less remained the same length and had consistency in the type of content, whereas the Monday issue has been a bit more all over the place. Some weeks it’s 1,000 words, some weeks it’s 6,000 words. Some weeks it’s a portfolio review, some weeks it’s an educational piece about a technical topic, and sometimes it’s a multi-week guide.
Overall I am feeling good about how things have gone but I think there’s always room for improvement. Based on some feedback I received via DMs plus via a poll I ran a few months ago, the sentiment appears to be that people prefer shorter and more digestible content that is a bit more to-the-point.
So, moving forward, I’m going to experiment with splitting things up into 3 issues per week, with a more clear value proposition for each issue:
Monday Issue
Gated, premium, alpha. Portfolio updates with my exact holdings, upcoming projects I have my eye on, airdrops or tokens or other things that would usually be considered valuable. Expect a lot more “what’s on my radar” type of posts. The type of thing that if you have limited time in the space but don’t want to miss out on trends or metas, reading these issues will help.
Wednesday Issue
Weekly nuggets of wisdom as usual. Little tidbits of “life alpha”, usually learnings from my own experiences or from my own readings. Might be crypto or trading related, but also might be life/philosophy related, or something else. People really seem to resonate with these (and I enjoy writing them), so if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Friday Issue
Short crypto educational pieces. Sometimes these will be related to the Monday issue, sometimes they’ll be separate and standalone. They’ll be crypto focused and aimed to teach something. I have always felt that education should be free, and struggle at times with gating educational content behind a paywall. I’m happy to gate the stuff that is focused on helping people make money behind a paywall but if someone wants to learn about the upcoming ERC-8004 protocol (which is sweet and is what I plan to write about this coming Friday), then, to me, they should get to learn for free.
The goal with these changes is to provide more overall value, to everyone. If you’re currently a premium subscriber, first of all, thank you! Second of all, you should receive more content this year. If you’re currently a free subscriber, first of all, thank you too! You should also receive more content this year.
By splitting things up into smaller issues, it should be easier and quicker to read the things you want to read, and if there are topics you don’t care about, easy enough to skip right over them.
It also helps create a more distinct value proposition for the paying subscribers. Why should you pay? Because you want to know what I hold, what I am buying, what I am looking into, what trends I see coming up, specific tips and guides on growing your portfolio, and also for greater access to me via our Telegram chat.
Note that this, like everything I do, is an ongoing experiment. We’re gonna try it out and see how it works for everyone. I welcome and invite all feedback, and will be assessing things on my end too. If it feels like too many emails each week, let me know. If it feels like the Monday issues are falling flat, let me know. If you are enjoying the new cadence, let me know :)
One of the goals for doing this into 2026 is to create more structure in my work life. I felt that I fell off a bit towards the end of 2025, and am coming into the new year with renewed energy and passion to read, research, and share my learnings with all of you, my dear readers.
Thanks again for all the support, and here’s to an epic year for us all :)

I like it, it’s actually harder to write short and to the point. I actually love the new direction, it could even just be two short posts instead of three … either way I’m sure it will be very cool.
Looking forward to the new format Zen. I'm sure every one of it will be as impactful as ever.
